Mark W. Rekow, CFP®
Mark has been a certified financial planner since 1994 and a partner with Rekow Management Company, the current firm’s predecessor, since 1981. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota having majored in Political Science and English with a minor in Psychology.
He is a member of FPA, Minnesota chapter, the national organization of financial planning professionals where he has served on the symposium and program committees. Prior to the merger that formed FPA, he was an active member of both the ICFP and IAFP organizations having served on various program committees with them.
Valuing community organizations, Mark is a board member of the Montevideo Area Community Foundation, and the MMRRC (Montevideo Medical Recruitment and Retention Committee), where he serves as treasurer for both organizations. In addition he serves on the Business Development and Retention Committee of the Montevideo Industrial Development Corporation.
Mark appreciates the unique opportunities that each client brings to the financial planning and investment management process. Previously having worked several years in medical settings counseling patients and their families struggling with health issues, he understands the importance of establishing clear, attainable goals and a systematic process for achieving them.
He, his wife Lynn, and their daughter Marissa appreciate parks and swimming pools and visiting family in various parts of the United States. When time permits, Mark enjoys golfing, hiking, and running marathons.
